Frequently asked questions
Is MCO a point solution or a platform?
MCO is a platform. It runs 30+ compliance products on a single shared system with common data, workflows, and reporting across four suites: Know Your Employee (KYE®), Know Your Transactions (KYT®), Know Your Third Party (KYTP®), and Know Your Obligations (KYO®).
Is MCO built specifically for financial services?
Yes. MCO is purpose-built for regulated financial services firms. The platform covers financial-services-specific workflows including personal trading compliance, crypto trading compliance, insider and MNPI management, registrations and licensing, trade surveillance, AML screening, and regulatory change.
Can we start with one module and expand later?
Yes. MCO supports modular adoption. A firm can start with the suite or modules it needs most (commonly employee compliance via KYE) and expand into transaction surveillance (KYT), third-party risk (KYTP), or obligations management (KYO) over time. Each expansion builds on the same platform.
What employee compliance workflows does MCO cover?
The Know Your Employee (KYE®) suite covers Personal Trading Compliance, Crypto Trading Compliance, Gifts, Entertainment and Hospitality, Political Contributions and Donations, Outside Business Activities, Registrations and Licensing, Roles and Responsibilities Needs, Connected Persons and Relationships, eComms Archive, and eComms Review.
What surveillance and transaction capabilities does MCO have?
The Know Your Transactions (KYT®) suite covers Trade Surveillance, Deal Review Manager, Insider & MNPI Management, Instant Payment Screening, Transaction Monitoring, and Transaction Screening. Yes. The Know Your Third Party (KYTP®) suite covers three modules: Third Party Lifecycle Manager (end-to-end client and partner lifecycle management), Third Party Screening (automated screening for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and corruption risk), and Third Party Risk Assessment (risk identification and classification).
What about regulatory change and policy management?
The Know Your Obligations (KYO®) suite covers four modules: Compliance Obligations Manager (regulatory change tracking and impact), Compliance Assurance Manager (qualitative and quantitative reporting across all lines of defense), Policy Content Governor (policy lifecycle with a complete audit trail), and Compliance Risk Manager (questionnaires and assessments for risk and performance tracking).
